eric in the show???

I was just wondering if anybody knew more about Eric's character in the show.....I have probably found all that I could..but i was hoping he would be in the show as much as he is in the book...also does anybody know if he and sookie are gonna go to that orgy party like in the book? that would be sooo hilarious!!
