Well, if you're into spoilers, for sure you already know S2 Finale's title: 'Beyond Here Lies Nothing' , which also happens to be a song by Bob Dylan.

We could listen to it in S2's early promos. Here's one:

Here's the whole song:

And here are the lyrics...

I love you pretty baby
You're the only love I've ever known
Just as long as you stay with me
The whole world is my throne
Beyond here lies nothin'
Nothin' we can call our own

I'm movin' after midnight
Down boulevards of broken cars
Don't know what I'd do without it
Without this love that we call ours
Beyond here lies nothin'
Nothin' but the moon and stars

Down every street there's a window
And every window made of glass
We'll keep on lovin' pretty baby
For as long as love will last
Beyond here lies nothin'
But the mountains of the past

My ship is in the harbor
And the sails are spread
Listen to me pretty baby
Lay your hand upon my head
Beyond here lies nothin'
Nothin' done and nothin' said

So what do you think? Can you get some hints about the finale with this? If so, what does it tell you?

Every single episode this season had a title which was a song featured in the episode:

"Nothing But The Blood (Of Jesus)" - Randy Travis
"Keep This Party Going" - The B-52's
"Scratches" - Debbie Davies
"Shake and Fingerpop" - Jr. Walker
"Never Let Me Go" - Katie Webster
"Hard-Hearted Hannah (The Vamp from Savannah)" - Stephen Moyer (Bill sang this with piano in the 1930's flashback)
"Release Me" - Conway Twitty & Loretta Lynn
"Timebomb" - Beck
"I Will Rise Up" - Lyle Lovett
"New World In My View" - Sister Gertrude Morgan & King Britt
"Frenzy" - Screamin' Jay Hawkins

Yup, I know, Finli, :D and many of those songs are kind of telling about the episode in general. So, I wonder if this one tells you something.

Let me guess... Kid Rock? ;)

Yeah, I agree... it's a pretty cool title for the finale. It was going to have another title I can't remember now, though, but I'll look for it.

Btw, I forgot to tell you that the finale was going to be titled: 'Before The Night Is Over', a song by Jerry Lee Lewis. :)

I can tell by the way you're a little bit lonesome baby, just like Jerry Lee
It's just like someone that you're needing to forget
Honey, that's the same thing with me I've been wanderin' baby why don't we?
Just make believe it ain't the first time we have met

And before the night is over you're gonna be in love
I bet you by the mornin', I'll be the only one that you'll be thinkin' of
So we will, will come together as close as fingers in a glove
And before the night is over you gonna be in love

Honey I can tell, Jerry Lee can tell, somebody might put that lady there right through to hell
And she can use a little tenderness these things I know
O if you feel that it's wrong Lord I could be comin' on a little bit too strong
Just let me know I'll pack my jump I just might go

But before the night is over, you gonna be in love
I bet you by the mornin', I'll be the only one that you'll be thinkin' of
So we will come together as close as fingers in a glove
And before the night is over
I said before the night is over
Hey girl before the night is over you gonna be in love

Gonna be in love! Whoa!

This is, supposedly, the song that Bill and Sookie will be dancing to (if they haven't changed it for 'Beyond Here Lies Nothing' ). We know the music is pretty important in the show, and there's a difference between both songs, Jerry Lee Lewis' is more optimistic, even though both are kind of bittersweet. And if you've checked the interview by Rutina Wesley viewtopic.php?f=113&t=12251, you know what kind of vibe will the finale have.

So, what do you think is going to happen according to what we have: the promo, the promotional photos and the music? Come on! Let's speculate! We still have 6 more days before us. ;)

On the music topic, the one from last episode was the one that pop out for me because I knew it from somewhere else, it was "Frenzy" from Screamin' Jay Hawkins

Oh, well... seems like you're not into speculating. :PP

For me, 'Beyond Here Lies Nothing' is about a man convincing his girlfriend to always stay close to him, because he thinks beyond their love lies nothing worth finding out. The lines: 'My ship is in the harbor' & 'And the sails are spread' are a metaphor for that girl, who wants to see the world around her. He's afraid of that.

So, the way I see it, it directly refers to Bill and Sookie, from Bill's point of view. He probably feels that she's escaping his control, just like it happened in Dallas, and he's afraid to lose her, which makes him more jealous than the usual (he doesn't want her to get involved with anyone outside their relationship, so he keeps people like Hadley away from her, for example). I'm probably wrong, but...

Spoiler (Click to reveal/hide)
...I think we might get a glimpse of the beginning of Bill and Sookie's break up.

Anyway, about who might die, if we're lucky, the only one who's going to will be Eggs. :P
Oh, and finally, check this extended promo video with Depeche Mode's song 'Corrupt'. Very, very good.

I think that is very well thought out, sis!! I'm sorry I'm not speculating because I'm at work and I'm always posting on the run, but when I get home I'll speculate a little bit! :P

I've got no spec regarding the show title but I do think Maryann may be planning on making Sookie the sacrifice - not Sam. The queen said she was looking for a supernatural being to bring back Dionysus (i think) but that it hadn't worked with shapeshifters. Eric and Bill have both questioned whether Sookie is actually human or said she's more than human or something like that
Whaddya think?

That's interesting. I think she will still be after Sam, but for sure Sookie has grabbed her attention. Tonight, she will, supposedly, make Sookie her maid of honor, whatever that means. Sookie has an energy that's like the total opposite to Maryann's, so I believe she will be crucial tonight. I can't wait!
