Actually, I only have one episode from Season 5 making it to the Top 8 on my bracket- Dead Is Dead. I even picked "The Incident" to lose in the first round to "The Shape of Things to Come." It's all about remember which episodes got the biggest praise initially. My votes:
The Beginning of the End- I love Hurley and this was an interesting way to start off Season 4. I figure more people will go for the Season openers and closers unless a bombshell episode is up against it. "He's Our You" wasn't one of the most-liked episodes of S5 either.
Lockdown- I loved "Some Like it Hoth" but "Lockdown" was one of the best episodes in Season 2 and overall. Oh the Henry Gale creepiness! And the blast door map tantalized us for months.
...In Translation- Because I love Sun & Jin episodes. They really are the most under-appreciated centric episodes on the show. So much happened in this episode! The raft burns, Sun exposes her English skills, Sayid and Shannon sorta become an item. Plus the flashbacks show Jin started as a sweet guy but working for Sun's father crushed his soul. Tragic. What happened in "Left Behind"? Not much of any importance- Kate & Juliet are handcuffed together, they mud wrestle, get scanned by Smokey and then go back to the Barracks. Then everyone goes back to the beach. On the beach Hurley tricks Sawyer into being nice. This was one of those Season 3 filler episodes, though it wasn't as bad as "SIASL" or "Par Avion". Sad to see my pick losing.
Orientation- Frankly, I wasn't shocked by the revelation of Locke's paralysis. I thought it was a little lame, actually. "Orientation" introduced us to Helen, which provided more depth to Locke's back story and we learned some more about the Hatch. Most people probably mistake "Orientation" for "Adrift" though and think it was just a rehash of the Season 2 premier. I factored this into my bracket and picked "TMFT." Still voted for my preference though.
Tact is for people who aren't witty enough to use sarcasm.
