I'm just going to do a summary of the show instead of a full recap tonight. Found 2 recaps already and EW.com is one of them so I will post those.

I liked the episode. It was really good. Things are frosty between Mer/Cris and it finally comes to a head on the roof of the hospital with Cris yelling at Mer that she doesn't understand why Mer if ok. Then goes on to blame Mer for her current state of being broken. Says Mer was begging her, with sad eyes, and she didn't have a choice. Says if anyone else had been on the table she would have walked and she wouldn't be broken now. So, it's all Mer's fault.

Big episode for Calzona. Callie goes around mopey and passive/agrressively moaning about going to Africa. The chief tells Callie he had big plans for her. Callie whines about never knowing what those plans are. Mark throws a little bon voyage party in the lounge. Everyone is so busy that only Mark/Lex & the chief are there. Finally, when Callie is leaving Mark gives her a speech about doing things only because someone else wants you to do it (like move to Africa) and then having regrets. Shows Calzona at the airport and Callie still whiny. Az finally loses it and starts yelling that this opportunity is huge and Callie is ruining it for her. Callie is ruining Africa. Callie admits she doesn't want to go to Africa but she loves Arizona and she wants to go to be with her. Callie says she's trying. Az says she doesn't want Callie to go with her. Callie says if Arizona goes alone & gets on the plane then things are done/over. Az says they are standing in the airport screaming at each other and things are already over. Az leaves.

Bailey is involved with Mary’s autopsy. She really wants to know why Mary died. Goes into Der’s office a few times to gripe about the doctor doing the autopsy. Der spends the whole day trying to write an essay for a grant for Alzheimer’s research. The autopsy was inconclusive and Bailey can’t accept that. Says that science is failing her. Der gives her a “you need to not let this be personal & let go of this” speech. Bailey says he has no business telling her that when he’s so worried about his wife getting Alzheimer’s that he can’t even write a stupid essay.

Owen’s trauma training was dull at first but then kind of amusing. Everyone except Mer/Cris end up being outside in the rain all day working on dummies of a mass casualty. There are 3 teams and the object is to treat your patients and get them on the helicopter that’s coming and you get certified. First one team fails because all their patients died & then the next team loses all their patients. Only ones left are April/Alex/Avery working on their dummies. April finally loses it and starts throwing their last 2 patients into the ambulance & says she will drive them to the hospital because Owen is just making things up and she can too. Tells Owen to move or she’ll run him over. Owen finally declares Aprils team the winners.

Cris is left to monitor Roy, the patient that needed a lung transplant, while Teddy goes for the new lungs. Roy’s daughter shows up. Apparently he hasn’t seen her in 20 years. She calls him Roy. He stops breathing and Cris freezes & finally goes into action. Finds that Roy’s heart is now failing too. He needs a balloon procedure and Cris finally has to do it. Owen has seen Cris stressed out and sent Mer in to help her. Cris won’t let Mer help. Later, when they are on the roof is the scene where Cris loses it and blames Mer for how she is. Teddy makes it back, does the transplant surgery on Roy and he makes it. Teddy tells Cris that she did a good job. The chief comes to tell Cris that he knows it’s been hell but she did a good job today. Cris then quits. When she leaves the hospital she tells Owen that she could still be a surgeon but she just doesn’t want to anymore.

Mark has a patient with Lexie that is getting a butt transplant because she has no rear end. Lexie worries that she’s just doing it for some man. Lady convinces Lex that she’s just doing it for herself. At Joe’s, later, Mark is staring at Lexie’s butt and looking flirty. Lexie tells him NO but then is smiling as she walks away.
