You owe the companies nothing. Less than nothing, you especially don't
owe them any courtesy. They owe you. They have re-arranged the world to
put themselves in front of you. They never asked for your permission,
don't even start asking for theirs.

Is it me or did he use his old Alien set designs.

Edit: aha, at first it was supposed to be a prequel, but then they decided it wasnt a prequel, but it is set in the same "world"...that explains a lot.

as far as i know HR Giger was invovled in the set design, which you can totally tell...
im probably looking forward to this slightly more than the dark knight rises !!!

damn good cast ? check..
damn good director? check...
more mythology than you can shake a stick at? check...
all major characters appearing in peril? check...
will we find out more about the space jockey? i sure hope so...

as far as i've read, comic wise the space jockeys used the xenomorphs as a planetary scale biological weapon...and this trailer seems to hint that these space jockeys had a hand in human evolution...i.cannot.wait...

Yet for all their evolution, they form no bonds.
Love does not exist for them. They are incapable of dreaming,
Of contemplating beauty, Of knowing something greater than themselves.

now i know some trailers tend to shoot their load a bit, cram in all the good shots, and leave nothing for the actual show...but god damn...this film just pushes my buttons completely...

I just watched a few trailers again after having seen Alien a few days ago. It just makes me even more excited.
But seriously, how can this not be a prequel? Same ship, space jockey, same universe just different time.

i think all the chat coming from ridley scott & the rest of them saying it wasnt a prequel but that it shared DNA was a massive red herring...in the main trailer, you can see a xenomorph on the wall !!

i agree with you dutchie 100%...this will be frickin awesome !!!

and as well...happy birthday david !!
