Once Upon a Time in the West, one of the best films ever made.
And if I look at the blockbuster films that made the cut and the ones that didnt, well, I find the list of films that didnt make the cut a lot better. I dont like most cartoon and anime films, so to see that there are 4 in there chosen over films like Groundhog Day and Rear Window, is weird to me.

Once Upon a Time in the West is one of my favorites too, but I don't think it's widely seen enough for this type of poll. Actually, I also think it was a mistake to include Seven Samurai, for the same reason.

Animation films made up their own little sub-bracket, only 4 out of 64 (around 6% of the total). I thought they deserved their own spot.

I say Children of Men, Pan's Labyrinth, Batman Begins, Iron Man 2, and Casino Royale...

Yeah, I'm a blockbuster kind of guy :PP

Luhks, didn't Return of the King have the win here? I just was on that thread and it was the other way on the poll...?? :S

How about a bracket with movies made from musicals? Chicago, The Producers, etc.

This might be slightly predictable given my avatar, but why isn't The Dark Knight even in the 'missed the cut' for best blockbuster list? Apart from being better (IMO) than Iron Man, batman begins and Pirates (to name a few on the list) it was also the most watched film in America of the decade. Must count for something in blockbuster terms. And, y'know, all the critical acclaim. Many are wondering if the Academny's sudden decision to have 10 best picture noms is partly down to the reaction to TDK getting snubbed last year.

EDIT - the above paragraph is of course contingent on TDK not being one of the films you've yet to reveal

There are a whole bunch of films I'd have included in a bigger tournament, but I'm not sure that many really deserve to be in over the ones included.
Raging Bull, Planet of the Apes, Reservoir Dogs, Trainspotting, Pan's Labyrinth and Rear Window.

Amadeus, To Kill A Mockingbird, Chinatown, Raging Bull, The Prestige, Pan's Labyrinth, and Aliens should've been in the mix.

But the biggest absences are definitely Lawrence of Arabia and Rear Window.

I would've like to see Casino Royale make the cut as well, just because it was such a great Bond film.

Has 2001 been mentioned anywhere? That's not a rhetorical question.
