The critical reaction has been nothing short from amazing. I'll be leaving for the midnight premiere shortly, and can't wait to come back here and discuss it with you all! :D

I found this and I had to share it...If you know nothing about the plot of Deathly Hallows, then you might not want to watch because this is a fun parody!

saw the midnight showing.. I'm at work with only 3 hours of sleep so i won't take long..
i laughed, cried, applauded, felt the tension, rolled my eyes, loved the changes, missed some moments i'd hoped to see but in general relished the last HP midnight showing I'll attend.

I loved the excitement in the theater, everyone cared & was excited & you could feel it. It was a satisfying conclusion. I can't wait for the DVD & the extras. I loved the flash at the end. I must agree with Sjorsman that the scene with Snape's memories was.. beautifully done.. I felt a plethora of emotions during it. The fights were spectacular.. Mrs. Weasley, Neville, McGonagall all received vigorous applause.

Sometimes the pacing was odd, there was humor (nicely done) to cut the tension a lot & then during a very climactic scene you think it's funny then realize it wasn't supposed to be (i'm looking at you, laugh of voldemort) I'm seeing it again this weekend & if any opinions expressed changed i'll let you know..

I'll just post here what I posted on tumblr! :D

Harry Potter was **** amazing!!
First of all, let me say:

Image

Image

Secondly:

ALAN **** RICKMAN!! GIVE HIM ALL THE AWARDS!!! Actually that’s not fair. Daniel Radcliffe was **** amazing! I’ve never really thought he was all that brilliant, but he was absolutely incredible in DH part 2!

Thirdly:

Everyone in the cinema laughed at certain times, everyone booed or hissed at Voldemort at the same time! The whole room clapped and some whistled when the credits rolled! It was amazing. (There was some annoying 14 year old slag or whatever who wouldn’t shut the **** up with her chav-like giggling (however a middle-aged woman owned her)).

Fourthly:

“Jack, you will man the **** up and not cry in public” - that is what I kept telling myself when Snape died, and when Ron grieved over Fred’s death! I did well, I just left my lips trembling. The ending had me gulping sadness, seeing them standing next to each other looking out over Hogwarts, knowing that they’d done it. That they had won. It was just incredible.

Fifthly:

At the moment, I am saying The Deathly Hallows Part 2 is my favourite ever film (although in a couple of months that may change and LOTR will regain its spot).

Sixthly:

Emma Watson is just. I can’t even. I want. I’d give up 10 years of my life to…

Seventhly:

So yeah, everything was amazing. The acting, the music, and don’t even get me started on the directing (**** EPIC). Every scene had me with chills. Loved the introduction of Aberforth (although disappointed by the lack of time they spent with him talking about his sister). Loved the battle scenes. Loved the comedy moments, including Ron, Seamus, Prof McGonagall etc. LOVED The Prince’s Tale part, t’was epic. Loved the effects. Wanted more of Jason Isaacs/Lucius Malfoy (but that’s cool). Luna Lovegood, you strange, strange girl, marry me. Slightly disappointed by the fact that certain parts of the book were shortened considerably in the film, as you’d expect, but there were parts I would have loved to see more of. I need to watch it again, I can’t process the whole thing. Oh, and I loved the dragon.

Eighthly:

Neville Longbottom. You, sir, are a **** hero. AND Minerva McGonagall, when did you become such a badass ****!

Ninthly:

“NOT MY DAUGHTER, YOU BITCH!”

Tenthly:

Goodbye, Harry Potter. Your adventure has ended, but it’ll be told forever :’)

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2: Brilliant conclusion to this wonderful saga!!!! I even teared up a few times, and for me to do that in a public movie theater is unheard of! It is hard to believe it is over, but I'm proud to say that it has been a pleasure being a part of this wonderful and magical ride with Harry, Ron, and Hermione!!

10/10 Masterful!

NOW it is time to reread the whole series! lol

Some of my FAVORITE moments were:

Spoiler (Click to reveal/hide)
-Anything to do with Ron and Hermione! Especially the kiss! Brilliant!
-The trio arriving back @ Hogwarts
-Neville freaking Longbottom....his big moment and speech was astounding!!
-Professor McGonagall being a bada**!
-I about broke down at seeing the Weasley's mourning over Fred, George sobbing  .....and Hermione consoling Ron on the steps afterwards.
-"Not my daughter you BITCH!!!!" LOL so glad they left that in!
-The Prince's Tale! Alan Rickman will get an Oscar if it is the last thing I do! lol So heartbreaking!
-The Resurrection Stone scene was heartbreaking....wow it was so perfect!
-Harry's death/King's Cross
-When Harry jumped out of Hagrid's arms and shot a spell @ Voldemort, Voldemort's face was priceless!
-The whole ending was phenomenal!
-And the epilogue, I loved seeing them all happy 19 years later!

Seven books. Eight films. Ten years. One generation.

Goodbye Harry Potter!!

I personally loved Snape's part in this. What a man. Naturally, I thought Alan Rickman was wonderful. HBC was hilarious playing Hermione at Gringotts' and spot-on too. Wished I could have seen more of her.

Three cheers for Neville and Prof. McGonagall for surviving till the end!

To be honest (no stone-throwing), a little underwhelming for me, but I've read the book, so I probably had too high a standard. Books are always better than the adaptations.

On my iPod so can't say too much atm but I loved it.

McGonagall, Snape and Bellatrix (HBC <3) were the stars of the film for me!

Really an epic film. There were a couple things I didn't like though:

- Harry/Voldemort fight, especially when they fell off the tower... Looked like Harry was gonna kiss him o.O

- Neville... Really dont like the actor so he was in it a bit too much for my liking

- Bonnie Wright is just plain awful, didn't look old at all in the epilogue (none of them did really apart from Harry, but Ginny looked comedic)

But besides those things I really loved it. Will post more once on my laptop and I've rewatched it

I agree. I thought the older ones stole the show for me this time.

I'd agree too, I think. They all [literally everyone in Hogwarts] had to rely on the older wizards/witches' experiences/knowledge :P

In terms of acting, Alan Rickman and Daniel Radcliffe were just fantastic. :)
