Mega Buzz: CSI: Miami's Bad Romance

What is the deal with Delko and Calleigh on CSI: Miami? What's the status of their relationship? — Tanesha

ADAM: For the immediate future, they will be more friends than lovers. "Delko having to do things behind his colleagues' back kind of threw a wrench into the works as far as their relationship goes," co-executive producer Marc Dube tells us. "There's been a bit of an agreed backing-off on both sides. It's something that will be revisited, but right now it's more of a brother-sister relationship. They love each other very much. Will it spike again? Probably, but they're taking a little break from the intensity."

its one sad news for me as being e/c fan

ps:> there will be one more news about episode 200th ( the Tv Guide writer told me in twitter )

CSI: Miami is about to get a new helping hand in the lab. Movieline has learned that Leven Rambin, whose TV credits include Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Grey’s Anatomy, and most recently ABC’s Scoundrels, has been cast on the CBS crime drama in the potentially recurring role of Molly Sloan.

Described as spunky and sexy, this trace evidence technician — transferred in from Tampa — will first appear in this season’s 14th episode, where she quickly makes a solid first impression on Ryan Wolfe.

Fun Fact No. 1: Rambin has something in common with CSI: Miami vet Eva La Rue, seeing as both actresses started their careers on the ABC soap opera All My Children. (Rambin played twin sisters Lily and Ava.)

Fun Fact No. 2: On Grey’s, Rambin played a character with the first name of Sloan.

Now in its ninth season, CSI: Miami airs Sundays at 10/9c on CBS.

The TCA tours have been taking place this week and on Jan 14th, CBS was up. Speaking at the tour, CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler spoke of the CSI Franchise. "Both shows are doing incredibly well in their new time periods," she said. "The audience loves watching how a case is solved. As long as those shows continue to be competitive, and as long as fans continue to watch the shows, they're going to stay on the air."

Is this good news or a warning to fans that if the ratings fall, the shows will go off the air?

Your thoughts...

CBS president Nina Tassler has announced that the futures of CSI: Miami and CSI: NY are secure.

Both shows were recently moved to new slots, but Tassler told reporters at the TCA press tour that neither series is in danger of cancellation.

"Both are doing incredibly well in new time periods, given what was there before," she insisted. "As long as those shows continue to be competitive and as long as fans continue to watch those shows, they'll continue to stay on the air."

She also claimed that a renewed focus on character development has helped to keep the two shows fresh.

"Both shows have opened up more to reveal the more personal elements of [characters'] lives," she suggested. "Add in the Sela Ward character (Jo Danville) on CSI: NY this year and I think we certainly know from audiences and from research that people were interested in her personal life."

CSI: NY airs on Fridays at 9/8c on CBS, while CSI: Miami continues on Sundays at 10/9c.
