Seeing how big these books are I think they deserve there own thread.

If you haven't read the books already there WILL be spoilers ahead (I know as I'm about to post one :D )

I can, because she

killed one of the Weasly twins, which you just don't do!

I actually read the last book in one day. It arrived on my doorstep the morning it was released, and I plopped myself down on the couch and only moved to use the bathroom and get some food every few hours.

The extent of my association with the Harry Potter series was picking up the first book, reading the first page, and placing the book down again.

Not really my thing, I guess.

You know what's funny? I'm a big advocate of getting kids to read, so I purchased the first three books with the plans of reading them with my future kids, because I'd heard such great things about them. But I decided to breeze through the first one and got hooked; I sped home from work every day to read! It was torture waiting for book four after that!

I do this with books as well. I tend to think of myself as a greedy reader. :)

I used to do that with the Harry Potter books.
I haven't done it with a book since, though.

 I like that -- a greedy reader.

So true.

I'm currently reading the His Dark Materials trilogy, and I read the first two books in about 36 hours. I tear through books like crazy. Love reading.

Heh I'm so obsessed with Potter still... I was working night shifts and bought the first book to fill in time through the day and the rest is history... it's now been 9 years and counting...

I'm so hyped for the 6th movie in November... next year is going to be horrible- no books or movies!!!

I fell into HP accidentally. One Saturday in October right before the release of the 4th book, it was raining and I was really bored so I picked up the first one and sped through it. By the time Goblet of Fire was released I was already done with them all.

I love this series. The only bad thing about it is that it is now over. My hope is that JK Rowling misses the world so much that she will pick it up again. I'm totally greedy and want more.

It's not fully over- there's still the movies! Plus JKR will eventually write her encyclopedia which should rock...

No movies next year? Why?!

I'm still obsessed, too.

I love reading and since I 6 or 7yo I cant go to sleep without reading a little in bed. That's why 9 years ago when I had just started high school I decided to buy some sci-fi book that look interesting...If someone had told me that was gonna end 9 years later with 6 more books... I'd have just thought someone was kiddin me!!!!

And I was the 2nd one to buy the book on my whole class hehehe :D

Am I the only one that hated the last book? For me it was like it was way to rushed, specially the end.
