Book 5,6 and 7 are my favourites. In 5 I loved the politics, in 6 the quietness while evil is lurking at the door and in book 7 the isolation the trio was in.

Especially with the retrospection of Dumbledore... I mean Tom's memories. In the movie we've seen just one of them, but we missed a lot of nice moments with others horcruxes! And if somebody will be watching second part of Deadly Hallows he won't be understanding parts with destroying all the rest of horcruxes... Even if they'll do, they will miss all the fun with wondering what-are-the-others-horcruxes-and-where-they-could-be-hidden :D

Agreed Octopus, now Voldemort is 'just that bad guy' - it's not been explained why he is the way he is.

Haha, that's hilarious. The ending about Dumbledore being old enough to like girls. "Eh, ha-riiiight..."

Why was the first book called Philosopher's Stone sometimes and Sorcerers Stone elsewhere?

My main question:

Something that I've never completely understood about the ending of the series...When Harry is having his final conversation with Dumbledore after he gave himself up to Voldermort, there was a baby that Harry kept looking at and Dumbledore just kept telling him not to worry about it. As the conversation went on, Harry became less and less interested in the baby. Can anyone explain that scene to me. What was the baby symbolic of exactly???

Thanks in advance.

Philosopher's Stone for the British release, and Sorcerer's Stone for the American one, I think. :)

Don't know if this is correct, but I assumed straight away that it was the piece of Riddle's soul that attached itself to Harry. When Harry died, so did it, and they both ended up in the same place.

That makes sense..That's kind of what I thought, but what threw me off was Harry paying less and less attention to it throughout the conversation. Thank you for the help.

Seems like a social networking site for HP fans...Looks uninteresting, I expected much more...but of course, I'll wait until the formal announcement to see what it really is.

Is this what http://www.youtube.com/jkrowlingannounces/?utm_medium=facebook&utm_source=warner_bros&utm_campaign=tease&utm_content=1x1&utm_term=tease-warner_bros-1x1-uk is about?

If so that sucks, I was thinking a new book!

The images in the link I posted was fake. And yes Josh, that youtube site is the countdown for the announcement. JK Rowling has said it wasn't a new book, but something equally exciting, so I don't know...
