Embarrassing music on your iPod - confess!

Postby VirginiaCreeper on Thu Dec 04, 2008 10:48 pm

You know how when someone wants to listen to your iPod/MP3 player or look through your CD's or whatever, and you don't mind it, but there might be something in there that you'd rather them not come across, but you can't really do anything about it.

There will be no shame in this thread. Be honest!

Some of my embarrassing music on my iPod:

The soundtrack to "Annie"

Joey Lawrence

Some '70s TV themes like, "Alice", "What's Happening" and "Good Times"

Nickelback

Celine Dion

David Cassidy

Debbie Gibson

Doris Day

Take That

Joey McIntyre (from New Kids on the Block)

Julianne Hough

Nick Lachey

Wham!

98 Degrees

Sha Na Na

Spice Girls

Music from "The Lawrence Welk Show" performers.
I love that stuff! Joanne Castle (a ragtime pianist from the show) is honestly one of my favorite artists.

Remember, no shame. Let's hear everyone's.

take in to account that the music i most proud of is...
Dream Theater
Slayer
Neal Morse
Transatlantic
Soilwork

Billy Joel is just nothing... compare to the distorsion used by the others... and my metalheads friends do laugh bout it

I can say with complete honesty that I fully endorse everything in my collection :) But that's because I'm kinda obsessive in the quality control department. I've even been known to throw away an artist's previous work if they suddenly become wack to the point where I don't want to be assosciated with them. Although that's rare.

I would also rather walk barefoot over hot coals than allow the scourge that is Nickelback anywhere near my ears :| I feel like organising an intervention for anyone I find to be under their influence ;)

Hehehe I <3 Nickelback. It's my guilty pleasure because I usually listen to much heavier music than that. :PP :PP

Grandma got run over by a reindeer. . .
The Best of Ray Stevens. . .
And 2 or 3 songs by Barenaked Hurley. . . which is less embarrassing here than it is most places. . .
So, who is this Mr. Bench anyway?

I don't quite like them. Perhaps just a few of their songs..

I don't have an iPod, or MP3 player for that matter. But I've got a tale from a friend regarding this topic you might find funny. It's R-rated, though, so read it under your own risk!

Spoiler (Click to reveal/hide)
This friend of mine was, to say it lightly, in an act of passion with his girlfriend. He had his iPod on speakers. He thought he had it under control, but somehow, the iPod suddenly started playing...

The theme song of the original Power Rangers.
"There's something you better understand about me because it's important. And one day your life may depend on it...I am definitely a mad man with a box."
