I only watched one series (with Christopher Eccleston) and recently I have been wondering how good of a job Philip Glenister AKA Gene Hunt would do as Dr Who! something I would love to see!

He's a name that pops up every now and then, I think he was also mentioned as a possible when Tennant left. I've only seen him in LoM/AtA, but I've seen his brother in quite a few things (Hustle, Spooks) and I think he would have made a great doctor a few years ago. How old is Philip G, I'd be worried that a Doc in his 50's might not go down quite so well these days
