Then she said it was just cause the stunt people were based up there or something, but she might have been more right than she thought lol.

As far as I am aware the move to Cardiff is because of the new digital tech building that has been built there, Casualty and some others are also relocating this year for the same reason.

Hope they can squeezed a cameo out of Tovey thou, BH3 started filming today so I should imagine that there would be a largish over lap in filming schedules :D

RTD loves the New Who, thats awesome too.

It seems (shockingly enough) that they are doing this right...

Haha, not like he'd admit publicly that he didn't like it. ;) But he's good friends with Moffatt, so I'm sure he likes it.

And yeah, this video really got me excited.

If he didn't really like it, he wouldn't have put 11 in SJA. But thats another thread for another time :D

So how many team members do you think will be good? The standard 5? It will obviously be more than 3, but I hope they don't exceed 5 regulars, that would be a bit too much I think.

I think they WILL exceed five, simply because of the international aspect.

Well I hope it's not like a Lost type ensemble lol.

I think a close knit group works best.

5-6 is probably the best numbers. Too big is bad with all the action going on.

I agree. Hopefully they'll be smart about this.

Torchwood Series 4 Details

Postby lost on Thu Jul 01, 2010 9:00 am

Russell T. Davies has promised that the new series of Torchwood will have an overriding storyline.

A fourth season of the programme was confirmed earlier this week after the BBC teamed up with US network Starz.

"It's very much the next step," Davies told The Hollywood Reporter. "It's not a new version, it's not a reboot. We're simply moving countries."

Davies added: "The show was previously a format show - monster of the week. The breakthrough was Children of Earth and that it became one long story. It's not going to be Lost and take 20 years to find out what's going on. It's going to have a most remarkable conclusion after ten episodes."

Torchwood is expected to air on Starz in the US and on the BBC in the UK next summer.

Starz president Chris Albrecht has promised to give Torchwood a bigger budget than it has had before.

Earlier this week, the network announced that it has signed a deal with the BBC to make a fourth series of the Doctor Who spinoff.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Albrecht explained that he was impressed by the last Torchwood series 'Children of Earth'.

"It was too good an opportunity to pass up," he said. "Each season of the show, the show has evolved and 'Children of Earth' was terrific.

"I'm interested in doing sci-fi and what I like a lot about Torchwood is it's a very classic sci-fi entry. It's all about the story, it's not about big effects. I thought 'Children of Earth' evolved the franchise to a place where it could continue to evolve on pay TV with an American partner that could bring more production resources."

Asked if that meant the show would have a bigger budget, Albrecht replied: "Yes, it certainly will."

The fourth series of Torchwood is expected to air on Starz in the US and on BBC One in the UK next summer.

Bigger budgets, new American location? I'll be curious to see how it all goes down, but for now I'll wait to make my judgement. I hope Davies is been truthful and that it isn't a remake as previously suggested. Definitely better as a continuation in my opinion. What do you guys reckon? Is this good for Torchwood?

:D
Definitely better as a continuation. It would be awful just to leave us where they left off last season and never look back. Big budget is a nice thing but for me it will always come down to the story line. With a good story line I don't care how bad the effects are. So hopefully it will make it more adventurous and give the team more motivation to give us a great show.

This is the best news in the history of news. Anything not like Lost can only end well :P

Also RTD said that there will be 2 new main cast members, so it looks like it will be a core 4.
