Cheers Icey. I personally hope they stick with the 5 part mini series, I much prefered the pace of CoE to the first two series.

Look how many main cast members died in 5 episodes. If they do 13 their will be no one left :P

I agree. The 5 part series works well. Perhaps TW could become an annual summer event...

If they do stick with the 5 episode/complete story format then I would love them to do two a year, I don't think thats too much to ask :PP

I have absolutely no idea how Torchwood can go forward now ... Just a pregnant Gwen standing in a field won't make much of a series...I suppose Martha and Mickey can show up, and hopefully Jack gets over that shamed kick he was on, but its not the same without Owen, Ianto, Tosh... :(

:O I forgot about Mickey. That would be a cool edition to the team.

Jack
Gwen
Rhys (office work only, can't have him dying now can we ;) )
Mickey
Martha (If Freema can get out of her L&O UK contract, or if she wants too...)
if not Martha then maybe that dude who works for the police that is Gwen's friend whose name i forget.

There is your Torchwood team.

I'd hate to see Rhys join the ACTUAL team...never liked him, or Andy, the policeman... I think they've been set up as too much as "normal people" to suddenly be gun toting alien hunters.

Well I think the more familiar faces the better. If it's Jack, Gwen, and 3 people we have never seen before, it wouldn't be the same.

I think Andy (thank you for his name) has been exposed to enough aliens to be a field grunt :P

Still a bit confused as to whether it's being moved to the US (as its base) or not, but either way, I'm sooo happy we're getting a fourth series!

And RTD, Julie Gardner, Jane Tranter, John Barrowman and Eve Myles = Awesome!

But, um, is Kai Own coming back as Rhys?

Its going to be more global. Sure a few stories (or maybe a lot) could take place in the U.S. but at the end of the day this is:

Torchwood (2006) Season 4.

Not

Torchwood USA (2010) Season 1.

and produced by BBC Worldwide Productions

Means it is still produced by BBC, and not Fox Studios or something.

I see what you are saying, and you could absolutely be right in the fact that some stories take place in the US, but it looks like they are trying hard to get away from "Torchwood USA Spinoff on Fox" to "This is the next season right after 'Children of Earth'"
