Help with Plasma TV issue

Postby Joshua on Wed Dec 22, 2010 10:17 pm

Hey,

My plasma TV (LG 42PC1D if that means anything) is now showing a black screen, with small patches of TV showing through... sound is fine, it's just the screen.

Edit: Previously patches showing... now it's entirely black

Does any clever person out there have an idea what might be wrong/what I could try and do to fix it?

Thanks!!

Its probably a problem with the printed circuit board.

I have no idea what that means, but I'll look it up, ty :)

Although doing some research it sounds like I may have screen burn-in? I do sometimes leave paused images on the screen, but didn't today for more than 20 secs

Do you have a cable box? Or is it happening when you play a dvd?

Because I had that problem, but it was the cable box not sending the image properly, and I switched cords and reset the box and it was fine....

It's everything... DVD, PS3 etc.

I've concluded it's broken and there's nothing more to be done! :(
