Show Me your Poster!

Postby 1miletogo on Fri Oct 16, 2009 2:08 am

I thought it would be fun to show your LOST posters hanging in all their glory. I know some of you still have a shrine to packing tubes, but I was anxious to get mine framed :)

For High Res pictures check out Reverend Milo's site at: http://dcaapb.com/

Post pictures of your posters and we will start a visual database :)

I just picked up the mat for The Love Triangle. I'll have to have it re-cut. I didn't realize it was too deep until I got it home and in the frame. But I was astonished by how transformed the print seemed in matted and framed state. This isn't my favorite print of the series, but I have a much better appreciation of it now. I'll repost a picture when I have the mat redone.

Yeah, the Mat really helps it. I think that frames can make a difference to how the posters are perceived.

I have decided to spend the extra money to have all the prints matted. If it made such a difference on The Love Triangle, I imagine that the other posters will be even more amazing.

I started a new thread for add ons for posters. Maybe some of the posters will need a shadow box and various related items inside. This would be a great way to really make the posters one of a kind

The mat on the Love Triangle looks great, it actually looks like the whole poster is in another monitor :)

Photos of my 'The Crash' and 'The Smoke Monster' posters are now up at robperrin.blogspot.com. The frames are basic 18x24 poster frames from Michael's, transparent for 'The Crash' to keep the scene open and expansive, and black for 'The Smoke Monster' to accentuate the sense of confinement. For 'Rousseau's Transmission' I may go with a fancier frame with matte, since the poster is an odd size, quite lovely, and I may try to sneak it onto a wall in our living room...
