The Hanso Foundation

Postby mbrandonhawks on Mon Feb 15, 2010 4:12 am

I recently visited this site http://www.thehansofoundation.org/ again as I have not done so in some time seeing as how the DHARMA Initiative and Alvar Hanso may not be as central to the show as it initially appeared. One strange thing I noticed is that the letter by Alvar Hanso seems to be different from what I remember viewing a year or so ago. Read the sites mission statement at this link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanso_Foundation for what I remember being the original statement and a strange clue to the end of L O S T. In addition, I found the following statement in the new letter to be particularly curious:

- "Thanks to the tireless efforts of my daughter, Rachel Blake, and a worldwide movement set against the dark entity that was Thomas Mittelwerks regime, I have been exonerated and freed from imprisonment."

The reasons I find this statement curious is because I do not recall ever reading or hearing about Alvar Hanso, the founder of the DHARMA Initiative as being "imprisoned." Might he be the man in black or Jacob? Each being recently freed from imprisonment by taking the form of Locke or being killed in Jacobs case. If this is true, I would assume the "dark entity" is the other person, either MIB or Jacob.

See this link for info about Thomas Mittelwerk: http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/Thomas_Mittelwerk. Notice that Mittelwerk was planning to test a deadly virus on villagers in Sri Lanka.

Also notice that the company Mittelos Bioscience which is the company Richard Alpert worked for recruiting people from the outside world to the island bears a strange resemblance to the name Mittelwork.

I may be way off in left field with this but it just strikes me as curious.

I could be wrong but i thought the writers said the Lost Experience wasn't canon. I could be wrong though.
