Top Ten Films of the Decade

From what I've seen, these are all excellent. Memento is probably my favorite of the list (it's between that and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) and one of my favorites of all time. Requiem for a Dream is such a well-made film, but I don't think I could ever bring myself to watch it again. Oldboy I haven't seen for awhile, but I remember loving it. The Departed is fantastic (though not Scorcese's best). Children of Men was one of my favorites at the time when I saw it and I still think it's a very good film. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is probably one of my favorite romance stories ever if not my favorite. No Country For Old Men is just plain awesome and Javier Bardem makes it even better.

Nice, Luhks.
Nine Amazing films, and One I have yet to see. (Good Night And Good Luck).
The ones that would make my list for sure:
"No Country For Old Men". It's a masterpiece to rival the Coens' best, "Fargo" (which would be right near the top of a "10 best of the 90's" list of mine).
"Children Of Men" is tied with "District 9" for me as the best Sci-Fi film of the decade.
"Eternal Sunshine..." is completely unique writer Kaufman at his best, and it's just plain amazing.
"The Departed" is my second favorite Scorsese movie, right behind "Goodfellas".

I haven't seen two of them, but the others I all liked or loved! :D I'd put few others ahead of some of them but overall its a damn fine list

Finli, despite the fact it got so many Oscar nominations, Good Night, and Good Luck is an underrated film. Everybody's pretty much forgotten about it now but I think it's an excellent story with fine performance from the entire cast. It has the intangible excellence and I was very impressed :)

Agree with Memento being No.1. Amazing film. Glad to see the underratted Children of Men make your list.

The only film on your list that I've not seen is Oldboy. Might have to check that out.

I'd probably have included Donnie Darko in my TT list and District 9 would get an honourable mention along with Kill Bill Vol1, In Bruges and V for Vendetta

Ha! You and me both. :P There are no shades of gray with this film. For what I can see, you either love it or hate it with passion. The funniest part seems to be that, the very few of us who hate it, feel this way because of the exact same reasons the other side of the spectrum fell in love with it.

Yet for all their evolution, they form no bonds.
Love does not exist for them. They are incapable of dreaming,
Of contemplating beauty, Of knowing something greater than themselves.
