Bad Bad Bad. Loved the original nigtmare Series in all its campy, 80's horror glory. This version is sad in comparison. Freddy is not funny or scary, just really creepy and not in a good way. He isn't a child killer anymore but a child molester. Sick plot line there. He evokes no fear only disgust.
The actors are terrible and unconvincing. It is like watching high school drama. The only good actress is the Cassidy girl.
Then there is the matter of the micro-naps that occur when awake.Really not getting that idea. I'm sleeping while I'm swimming? Makes no sense.
Was hoping it would be a better scarier version of the old story but it was totally off the wall stupid.
