Bad Movies

Postby theotherslover on Tue Aug 23, 2011 8:29 pm

I don't know if there is a thread for this already, and if there is, I'm sorry.

I have this new hobby with a bunch of my friends. We enjoy BAD movies and I mean really really bad. The kind that are just so awful, they are perfect. See these jewels are harder to find than the good ones, because there needs to be intent to be a generally decent movie but it needs to fail miserably.

These are some of the ones we've watched at our last Bad Movie Night.

Troll 2
Shark Attack 3
Thankilling
Birdemic: Shock and Terror

What are some of the treasures you have found?

Dinoshark :D

There's one bit where she finds a picture of the dinoshark, then takes her top off randomly. Made us laugh so much!

The worst film of all time, and you'll have to trust me on this as I've seen 100's of bad movies, is Howling, New Moon Rising

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0113349/

It is so bad we have drinking evenings watching this film.

It's so bad you just have to watch it.

They ran out of money and hired actual locals for 95% of the cast.

I've always thought that "Evil Dead" was the best worst movie I ever saw. Then "Evil Dead 2" came out. Both are deliciously terrible in a great way

Great topic, I love bad movies

Howling II: Stirba – Werewolf Bitch (ok, basically every Howling sequel)
Space Mutiny (for the space scenes they used footage from Battlestar Galactica and this has the slowest chase scene ever)
Girl in Gold Boots (love triangles, go-go dancing and bad editing...what more do you want)
Soultaker (starring Martin Sheen's brother I didnt even know he had)
Cool As Ice (My favourite)
The Room (this is the ultimate bad movie)

Add every film that comes on Syfy.

I haven't seen many of these type of movies, so I'm not sure if this one applies, but I think Attack of the Killer Tomatoes is pretty damn bad in good way. :P

1980's Disney adaptation "Return to Oz", a sequel based on 3 Frank Baum books in The Wonderful Wizard of Oz series...

The budget was so low and some how Dorothy shrunk and is younger than her first trip, but I love the concept of the film and Disney's sad attempt to try and make a more modern, relatable, marketable Oz story (the wheelers!!) only to become a cult classic. But the other characters from the books are pretty lovable, even despite the horrific diaologue....

Yet for all their evolution, they form no bonds.
Love does not exist for them. They are incapable of dreaming,
Of contemplating beauty, Of knowing something greater than themselves.

This film is awesome. The wheelers are cool and how about that scene with all the heads and the headless bodies.

rana:creature from shadow lake - mind seing this when i was a kid, and even then it didnt make a lot of sense. dodgy creature flick, in which the creature vomits toads...

and a special mention for zardoz...dear god that was bad...
You owe the companies nothing. Less than nothing, you especially don't
owe them any courtesy. They owe you. They have re-arranged the world to
put themselves in front of you. They never asked for your permission,
don't even start asking for theirs.

A couple of nights ago I watched a movie called American Ninja

It was so bad but, at the same time, couldn't stop watching and actually had fun with it, so guess I can add it to the list. :P

Yes, this is the worst move I have seen so far. I even watched the MST3K version and nearly clawed my eyes out from the ineptitude.

Other films that are outright lousy:

Child Bride
The Room
The Master of Disguise
The Killer Shrews
Alien Intruder
Blair Witch 2
Showgirls
Van Helsing
Battlefield Earth
The Ladies Man

Just saw the room. It was just as bad as you all say. Thank you for that suggestion.
